THE ULTIMATE ELEPHANT SAFARI |
||
| This safari travels across southern Africa from West to East visiting the best elephant habitats in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We start with the rare and endangered desert elephant in the arid Namib Desert, then explore Etosha, the Okavango, Linyanti, Hwange and Mana Pools, viewing some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa. We will observe how rainfall and soil types have changed the elephant's family structure, appearance, and behaviour. The group will have aircraft with them throughout the safari to ensure that there is little wasted time getting from area to area. There will be ample time to learn about and observe these animals in their prime habitats under the expert guidance of Dr Ian McCallum.
