| Hwange National Park is widely regarded as Zimbabwe's premier game park. Roughly six thousand square miles in size, Hwange boasts around 105 species of mammals, and 410 species of birds. All Zimbabwe's specially protected animals are to be found in Hwange, and it is one of the best reserves in Africa for sightings of rare and beautiful species of antelope such as sable and roan. The great highlight of Hwange, however, is its enormous population of elephants - Hwange is said to have the greatest concentration of these giant pachyderms of any park in Africa, making it a dream come true for elephant enthusiasts.
