Increasingly, as the benefits of eco-tourism are shared with local communities surrounding game reserves, local villagers are themselves becoming some of the most ardent supporters of nature conservation. They are also increasingly entering into conservation related careers, where their superb, first-hand knowledge of the African wilderness is combined with extensive professional training to create some of the finest game guides and trackers in Africa.
