On arrival at Cape Town airport, you will be met and transferred in a private vehicle to the beautiful Cape Grace Hotel on Cape Town's famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Day 10

Today Frank, Jim, Donna, and Chris will enjoy an exciting private shark-diving expedition around Deyer Island, where they will have a chance to marvel at the Great White Shark, the ocean's most perfect predator. Heide will enjoy the day at her own leisure, with the flexibility to arrange any tours or excursions that she would like to do. There is a lot of shopping (as well as other activities) at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, while other areas are within walking distance. At both the Cape Grace and Bay Hotel, please ask the concierge at the hotel before venturing on foot anywhere by yourselves, and ask him/her to order taxis for you if you plan to go further afield. The schedule for the private shark-diving excursion is flexible, but will be based around something along these lines -

Guests are collected from their hotels at around 6:00am for the scenic 2 hour drive to Gansbaai, where you will enjoy a light breakfast. At 9:00am the boat launches and proceeds to the world-famous 'Shark Alley', where it drops anchor. The sharks are attracted by pouring a mixture of blood and fish parts into the water - guests view the sharks from the boat as well as from a cage that is lowered into the water. Snacks, drinks, and fruit are served on the boat, which returns to the harbor at 2:00pm. Guests then enjoy a lunch at the seaside town of Hermanus, where they are presented with shark diving certificates. Drop off back at your hotel in Cape Town is at around 5:00pm.

Day 11

Today Jim and Chris will enjoy a scheduled shark diving excursion in False Bay. You will be collected from your hotel at around 7:30am. Frank, Heide, and Donna will enjoy the day at their own leisure, with the flexibility to arrange any tours or excursions that they would like to do.

Days 9 to 12

You will spend 3 nights at the Cape Grace Hotel in a Luxury Room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 12

This morning you will be transferred by private vehicle to Cape Town station for your trip aboard the ultra-luxurious Blue Train. Check-in is at 10:00am, and the train departs the station at 11:00am.

Days 12 to 13

You will spend a full day and night aboard the Blue Train in Luxury Suites on a fully-inclusive basis, including accommodation aboard the train; all meals and snacks on board; sightseeing excursions accompanied by a qualified tour guide; all alcoholic and other beverages (except French Champagne); entrance fees to places of interest; 24 hour butler service and bar facilities; laundry; and government tax.

Day 13

You arrive at Pretoria Station at around 12:40pm. You will be collected at the station and transferred in a private vehicle to the Rosebank Grace Hotel. You will have the opportunity to relax, visit art galleries, or do some shopping, either at Rosebank's very upmarket mall, or from the large African market a couple of blocks from the Hotel; this market offers probably the best and most authentic curios in Johannesburg. You will enjoy the convenience of a day room at the Grace Hotel, where you will be able to leave your bags and freshen up before your private transfer to Johannesburg International Airport for your flight home. At this point you will bid farewell to this enchanting continent at the end of a great African adventure.
